Examine computers and shared folders in the local network
|
- Double-click Network Neighborhood
- Double-click Entire Network
- Double-click Microsoft Network (if available)
- Double-click a workgroup
- Double-click a computer
- Double-click a shared folder or resource

Share the C: drive as read only
|
- Open Windows Explorer and click the + next to My Computer, or just
double-click My Computer
- Right-click C: and click Sharing
- Select Shared As
- Make sure Read Only is selected for the Access Type
- Click OK

Share the My Documents folder as read-write
|
- Open Windows Explorer
- Right-click My Documents and click Sharing
- Select Shared As
- Select Full for the Access Type
- Click OK

|
- Type in the URL http://www.fiuc.org/umu/ and press Enter

Search Yahoo for "Management Information Systems"

- Type "Management Information Systems" (including quotes)
in the Search box and press Enter

Log on to your preferred e-mail account
|
- If you do not yet have any e-mail account, you can create one; please
ask someone to help you
- Open Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator
- Type in the URL (www.yahoo.com, www.hotmail.com, www.yahoo.co.uk,
www.yahoo.fr, etc.) or go to the UMU intranet site
- Type in your username and password

Read your new mail
|
- Click the Inbox or Check E-mail button or link
- Click an unread message
|
|
Send your instructor a question
|
- Click the Compose or New Message button
- In the To: box, type the instructor's UMU e-mail address
- In the Subject: box, type "MIS I Exercise 2: question"
- In the Message: box, type one course-related question
- Click the Send button
